Style Guide

Create a space that feels like you

A considered room starts with how you want to live in it. Whether you are refreshing one corner or furnishing a whole home, begin with comfort, proportion and the pieces you genuinely enjoy.

This guide is shared by Johannesburg and Cape Town. Use it for inspiration, then browse your city's collection for the pieces currently offered there.

1. Measure first, choose with confidence

Measure the room before choosing your furniture. Mark out the footprint of larger pieces so you can judge how they sit alongside existing furniture, doors and everyday walkways.

Check the product's stated width, depth and height, then consider the route into your home: entrance doors, passages, stairs and lifts. For recliners or extending pieces, allow for the space they need when in use.

If dimensions or access are unclear, ask our team before ordering. Photographs show a look; measurements help you decide whether it works in your space.

2. Build around one anchor piece

Choose one piece to lead the room, such as a sofa or dining table, then build around its scale, shape and colour.

A restrained palette makes it easier to combine materials. Balance leather or fabric with timber, metal or ceramics, and introduce contrast through texture rather than adding too many competing finishes.

Consider everyday use when choosing upholstery. Read the individual product description and ask about the available materials or colours; the options can differ between products and cities.

3. Finish with balance

Leave a little breathing room around your furniture. A few well-chosen accents can give a space more character than many small pieces competing for attention.

Use cushions and throws to soften seating, a mirror to catch light and reflect the room, and decorative objects to introduce a personal note. Group accents thoughtfully and keep practical surfaces usable.

For outdoor areas, check that each piece is described as suitable for the intended conditions. Indoor furniture should not be assumed to be weather-resistant.

4. Care for the pieces you love

Always follow the care instructions for the specific product and material. If you are unsure of the finish, ask our team before applying a cleaner or conditioner.

Dust regularly with a soft cloth. Blot spills promptly rather than rubbing, and avoid harsh cleaners, household mixtures and soaking upholstery. Test any approved care product in an inconspicuous area first.

Keep furniture away from sustained direct sunlight and strong heat where possible. Let damp items dry naturally; do not use a hairdryer or heater on leather. Check the manufacturer's guidance before treating leather, timber or fabric.

5. Find your city's collection

Choose Johannesburg or Cape Town before exploring the range. The two cities hold separate stock and arrange delivery independently; products are not transferred between them.

For help with a piece, send its name or link together with your city, room measurements and any access questions. Our team can confirm product details and delivery arrangements before you make your choice.
